Four years ago he was getting fitted for his first year of tackle. Him and Pete were so excited for the upcoming season. There are so many things that I miss about my sweet boy. Watching him out on the field and ice has left a hole in my heart bigger than I could have ever imagined. It was such a huge part of our life.
There are so many parents that use athletics, clubs, dance, etc. as a form of babysitting. Just dropping off their kids and returning when they were done. Getting in whatever time alone they could get. So many parents not attending games and practices. Not driving their kids with other teammates to and from and experiencing the utter excitement from kids doing what they love. If you don't already do such things, please consider it. You are creating memories that both you and your children will always remember. You many not think that a car ride is a big deal, but believe me, it is. You will thank yourself when you have no more games or practices to take them to. No more blistering sun, torrential rain or freezing temps. With Parker we saw it all, and we were there for every minute of it with no regrets.
Good luck to all the Southern AYF kids getting fitted today for their upcoming tackle season. Parker and his army will be right there with you through it all.
I love you forever, Bud
